How we use your data:

The Council needs to collect the following information about you:

  • your email address

We use this information to notify you of any future Headteacher vacancies advertised on the Get AHead website. We may also contact you to obtain your feedback on the website and the vacancies available, and your experience of the recruitment process. From time to time we may let you know of any updates to our website.
To enable us to provide our service to you we will share your information with teams that have a legitimate business need to access your data. These include HR and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.
The Council will not share your data with third parties.
The Council will not use your data for any purpose other than to notify you of future Headteacher vacancies and possibly to seek feedback on your experience of using the website.
Should you decide not to provide any of the information we request from you the Council would not be able to notify you of future Headteacher vacancies.

What authority does the Council have to collect and use this information?

The Council has a legitimate interest in processing personal data in relation to your request to be notified of future Headteacher vacancies.
Where the Council relies on legitimate interests as a reason for processing data, we have considered whether or not those interests are overridden by the rights and freedoms of employees or workers and has concluded that they are not.

How long will we keep your data?

    You have the right to request the Council provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller. However, this only applies to data that you have provided to us and not to all the information that the Council holds about you.
  • Right to Object to Processing
    In certain circumstances, you may have a right to object to the processing of your personal data.

The Council will not transfer your data outside the UK.

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Privacy Notice, then we will provide you with a new Privacy Notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions.
